Accord aims to support a viable, strong industry committed to quality, fair competition and ethical business practices.

Unfair trade practices such as counterfeiting and anti-competitive dumping are increasing in Australia.

These cause significant problems for our members, particularly in the personal care, cosmetics and fragrances area.

While we will continue to focus on addressing these practices, we recognise that we need strong government support in order to be effective.

Accord participates in government and industry initiatives to inform government industry policy development to ensure that trade remains fair, ethical and straightforward.

For example we are represented in the Australian Industry Group's Trade Remedies Taskforce.

Market intelligence is another commercial affairs service we provide our members. Accord conducts the twice-yearly Halldata wholesale sales survey for cosmetics and fragrances, giving our members solid market information for decision making.

Additionally we conduct an annual salary survey for the cosmetics sector.
