Dream Week - Culminating in the annual gala event of Dream Ball on 16 September 2011 "Happy Birthday" Dream Ball 2011 - what a night! As befitting this special 21st birthday celebration of Look Good...Feel Better in Australia, over $500,000 was raised, breaking the record for the fifth year in a row! Thanks to all those who made the night the success that it was.Dream Ball Patron Kerri-Anne Kennerly was joined by Todd McKenney as co-MCs for the night, their charisma and chemistry setting the tone for the evening. The support entertainment was magnificently provided by Soul Mystique who dazzled and amazed the audience with their outstanding dance and quick change act. And headlining the event was Guy Sebastian, who thrilled the audience with a catalogue of his chart topping hits in what was a truly memorable set.
As well as the fantastic entertainment on offer, there were many other attractions to occupy the audience: silent auction, live auction, and opportunities to sponsor Look Good...Feel Better workshops or enter the raffle.
The hard work and dedication of our loyal volunteers was represented by Look Good…Feel Better National Volunteer of the Year, Dianne Schneider from Queensland. Workshop Location of the Year was The Austin Hospital, Victoria, represented by Erin Webb, Occupational Therapist.
Our special guest speaker was Mia Cassin. Mia had recently undergone treatments for cancer and bravely spoke of how attending a Look Good…Feel Better workshop made such a positive impact on her life.
With 2011 being our 21st Annual Dream Ball, we received some wonderful words of support and encouragement in a message sent from Her Excellency Quentin Bryce, AC Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.
